What Brands Want with Cebu Creators Circle at Marina Seaview

Thursday, July 10, 2025

I'm so excited to share a big update — I recently joined a fresh new creator community here in the Queen City of the South called Cebu Creators Circle, and it’s already proving to be such a gem for local content creators like myself.

Our first event together? A knowledge-packed session called “What Brands Want”, held at the beautiful Marina Seaview Restaurant in Mactan — the perfect mix of seaside charm and creative energy. It was held at the dreamy Glass House of Marina Seaview Restaurant in Mactan — and let me tell you, it was equal parts inspiring and indulgent!

The Glass House Vibe

Nestled right by the sea, the Marina Seaview Glass House gave us a calm, coastal atmosphere that perfectly balanced learning and leisure. Imagine soaking in insights from top minds in marketing while sipping cocktails with a view of the ocean — yes, it was that magical.

We were treated to a spread of fresh seafood, crispy nachos, and flavorful cocktail drinks that kept the conversations flowing (and the creative juices too!). It wasn’t just an event — it was an experience.

A Deep Dive into 2025 Brand Mindsets

The event was made possible in partnership with RGC (Republiq Group of Companies), and the discussion focused on something every creator wants to master: understanding how agencies and clients think in 2025.

From brand alignment to long-term collaborations, the session was packed with actionable tips on how we, as creators, can better serve the brands we work with — and in turn, grow more sustainably and professionally.

Key Takeaways from “What Brands Want”

Authenticity Over Aesthetics – Brands are shifting from “pretty feeds” to real connection. If your content speaks to your community, you’re already winning.

Metrics That Matter – Agencies are paying attention to your impact, not just impressions. Saves, shares, and conversations = gold.

Professionalism Wins – In 2025, the creators who stand out are the ones who show up professionally — clear briefs, smooth communication, timely delivery.

Niche Is Power – Whether you're into beauty, tech, parenting, or wellness, brands love creators who know and own their niche.

Why I’m Proud to Be a Cebu Creator

There’s something special about being part of a movement that uplifts local creatives. Cebu Creators Circle is more than a community — it’s a circle of support, learning, and collaboration. Being surrounded by driven, like-minded individuals reminds me why I started creating in the first place: to connect, inspire, and grow.

Between the rich insights, good food, and coastal breeze, the event was a full-circle moment for me — and I can’t wait for more.

xoxo, Grace 🌸

Filipino Cuisine at Fely J's Greenbelt Makati

Last February 2025, we had the pleasure of dining at Fely J’s Kitchen in Greenbelt, Makati, during a special event with fellow bloggers. Nestled in the heart of Greenbelt 5, this restaurant is known for serving home-style Filipino and Asian-inspired dishes that bring comfort and nostalgia with every bite.

A Warm and Welcoming Ambiance

Stepping into Fely J’s Kitchen felt like entering a cozy yet elegant Filipino home. The warm lighting, wooden interiors, and family-style dining setup made it the perfect venue for catching up with fellow bloggers over delicious food. The staff welcomed us with friendly smiles, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience from start to finish.

The Food A Feast to Remember

We were all excited to indulge in Fely J’s well-loved dishes. Here are some of the standout plates we enjoyed:

🍛 Crispy Patang Bawang – A must-try! The pata was deep-fried to perfection, with crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat, complemented by a garlicky dipping sauce.

🥘 Bangus Belly Bistek – This dish was a crowd favorite! The boneless bangus belly was cooked in a rich, tangy bistek sauce with lots of onions, making it both hearty and comforting.

🌿 Pinakbet with Bagnet – A perfect balance of fresh vegetables and crunchy bagnet, this dish was a great addition to our feast, offering a delicious way to enjoy classic Filipino flavors.

🍚 Tinapa Rice – One of Fely J’s signature dishes, this smoky, flavorful rice paired well with everything on the table and was a hit among the bloggers.

🍲 Gising-Gising – A spicy and creamy dish made with chopped green beans, coconut milk, and ground meat, offering a rich and mildly spicy kick.

🐟 Sugpo sa Aligue – Fresh prawns smothered in a rich and indulgent crab fat (aligue) sauce, making every bite sinfully delicious.

🍖 Lola Ising’s Adobo – A unique take on adobo with fork-tender pork belly, cooked in a deep, flavorful sauce with a balance of salty and slightly sweet notes.

🍰 Guinumis for Dessert – To end our meal on a sweet note, we tried the Guinumis, a refreshing dessert made of coconut milk, sago, and pinipig, drizzled with a sweet syrup. A perfect way to cool down after a savory feast!

A Place for Every Occasion

Whether you’re dining with family, meeting friends, or celebrating a special event, Fely J’s Kitchen is an excellent choice for those craving classic Filipino dishes with a touch of nostalgia. The generous portions, rich flavors, and warm ambiance make it a go-to spot in Greenbelt for locals and tourists alike.

Final Thoughts

Our visit to Fely J’s Kitchen was not just about good food—it was about the shared experience, laughter, and connection we had with fellow bloggers. If you’re in Makati and looking for a great place to dine, Fely J’s Kitchen should definitely be on your list!

Family Escapade at Basdaku, Moalboal Cebu | Sand, Sun, and Sweet Memories

Friday, July 4, 2025

There’s nothing quite like escaping the busy rhythm of everyday life and heading to the sea with the people you love most. Our recent family adventure in Basdaku, Moalboal was the perfect mix of fun, rest, and unforgettable moments.

Just a few hours from Cebu City, Basdaku (which literally means “big sand”) welcomed us with its powdery white beach, clear turquoise waters, and laid-back vibes that instantly made us feel at home. As soon as we arrived, the kids kicked off their slippers and ran straight to the shore, giggling with excitement. Laagan mode: ON!

Beach Bliss

The beach stretched endlessly with fine sand that was soft on our feet—perfect for barefoot strolls and spontaneous sandcastle contests. The water? Calm, clear, and inviting. We swam, snorkeled, and even spotted a few colorful fish close to the shore!

Simple Joys, Shared Meals

One of the highlights? Our picnic-style lunch by the beach. Fresh grilled fish, puso, and everyone's favorite—mangga with bagoong. There's something extra special about eating with your hands under the shade of coconut trees, surrounded by laughter and stories.

Sunset Magic

As the day wound down, the golden-hour glow lit up the sky. The kids chased the waves while we watched the sun dip into the horizon—a perfect reminder of what really matters: family, connection, and being present.

Snaps and Smiles

We snapped tons of photos, but honestly, the best memories were the ones we didn’t catch on camera. Like the salty hugs, shared jokes, and that quiet moment watching the kids fall asleep after a day full of sunshine.

Why We’ll Keep Coming Back to Basdaku:

  • It’s family-friendly and safe for kids

  • Clean, peaceful, and not too crowded

  • Beautiful views + affordable accommodations

  • A short trip that feels like a full recharge

If you’re looking for a beach escape with your loved ones, Basdaku, Moalboal is a gem worth visiting. It’s not just about the destination—it’s about the memories you make together. And this trip? Definitely one for the books. 💛
