Yombig Burger officially unveiled its second branch in Cebu City, located on the ground floor next to SM Supermarket  The doors opened in late June 2025, bringing their signature bold and messy burgers to mall-goers.

The new location sits beside SM Supermarket in SM City Cebu’s lower ground floor. It offers quick access for shoppers, students, and families alike

  • Parking is available for private vehicles, with entrance near the mall's main driveway.

The 4th Cebu Tourism and Hospitality Awards (CTHA) has announced this year’s finalists, recognizing top performers across major and special categories. During the panel interview on July 14, 2025, 55 finalists showcased their passion, performance, and innovative ideas to a distinguished panel of six judges.
Organized by the Hotel, Resort, and Restaurant Association of Cebu (HRRAC), the CTHA honors individuals who embody excellence, professionalism, and true Cebuano hospitality. The awarding ceremony will be held on August 13, 2025 at the Ayala Center Cebu.
“The finalists represent the best of Cebu’s hospitality industry,” said CTHA Chairman Ron Manalang, General Manager of Seda Central Bloc Cebu. “They don’t just meet expectations—they raise the standard. And our panel of judges ensures we find those who make a lasting impact.”

If you’re planning a family getaway in South Cebu, The Sands Beach Resort in Guilunggurosan, Ginatilan, is the perfect spot. Our family recently spent a weekend here, and it was an unforgettable experience. From scenic views to relaxing vibes, this beach resort is a gem for both locals and travelers.



Getting to The Sands Beach Resort, Ginatilan

Traveling to Ginatilan is smooth whether you’re coming from Cebu City or nearby provinces. Here’s how to get there:

  • By Bus: Head to Cebu South Bus Terminal and take a bus bound for Bato via Barili. Tell the driver you’re stopping at Ginatilan. Travel time takes around 4–5 hours.

  • By Private Car: Drive along the Cebu South Road via Barili. Follow the coastal highway and watch for signs to Ginatilan. The resort is in Guilunggurosan, a short drive from the town center.

  • By Van for Hire: Vans are available at the South Bus Terminal for a quicker trip, usually 3.5–4 hours.

Pro tip: If you want a comfortable journey, leave early in the morning to enjoy the scenic coastal drive.

The Sands Beach Resort offers affordable rates, making it ideal for families on a budget.

  • Entrance Fee: ₱20 per person (children under 5 are free)

  • Cottages: ₱500–₱1,000 depending on size

  • Overnight Rooms: Start at ₱1,500 for fan rooms and ₱2,500 for air-conditioned rooms

  • Tent Space: ₱300 if you bring your own tent

We booked a family room, and it was spacious enough for five people. The staff was accommodating, and the check-in process was smooth.

Sunsets here are stunning. We spent our evenings watching the sun dip behind Negros Island while enjoying snacks by the shore.

4. Accessibility to South Cebu Attractions

Ginatilan is near several tourist spots like Inambakan Falls, Samboan waterfalls, and Moalboal beaches. You can easily plan a side trip before or after your stay.

Tips for a Hassle-Free Trip

  • Pack light, but don’t forget essentials like sunscreen and insect repellent.

  • Bring cash as ATMs are limited in Ginatilan.

  • Book rooms ahead if you plan to visit during weekends or holidays.

Final Thoughts
