Designing for People, Place, and Purpose: ArchiGlobal’s Vision for Cebu and Beyond
Monday, September 15, 2025
In the dynamic landscape of Cebu’s growth and development, architecture does more than shape
skylines - it defines communities, fuels economic progress, and reflects the soul of a city. Leading this transformative journey is ArchiGlobal Inc., a proudly Cebuano architectural firm that has turned
visionary design into a catalyst for sustainable, people-centered progress.
Since its founding in 2008, ArchiGlobal has grown from a local firm into a trusted partner for developers, institutions, and corporations across the Philippines. Yet, despite its expanding footprint in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, ArchiGlobal remains deeply anchored in Cebu’s unique cultural and economic fabric.
“Our approach is simple but powerful: design for people, place, and purpose,” shares Architect Michael P. Torres, President-CEO of ArchiGlobal. “We do not just create buildings; instead, we craft
environments that foster community, drive economic vitality, and honor Cebu’s identity while shaping its future.”
What sets ArchiGlobal apart is the leadership’s hands-on experience in real estate development. With roots as former project managers at Ayala Land, the firm understands the commercial realities behind every project without compromising creative integrity.
This dual perspective enables ArchiGlobal to deliver architectural solutions that are not only visually
inspiring but also commercially viable and operationally effective. “Our designs are informed by strategic thinking as much as artistic vision,” Torres explains. “We think about how a building functions within its environment, how it serves its users, and how it can grow value for investors.”
The firm’s masterful reimagination of Cebu’s iconic Tops Lookout exemplifies this approach. By
balancing placemaking, contextual design, and business-savvy planning, ArchiGlobal has helped
transform this landmark into a celebrated destination, earning local and international accolades while boosting Cebu’s tourism and cultural identity.
ArchiGlobal’s commitment to excellence is also reflected in its pioneering adoption of Building
Information Modeling (BIM). Starting its BIM adoption in 2021, the firm leverages this cutting-edge technology to improve design accuracy, streamline project coordination, and reduce construction risks, delivering greater value to clients.
Beyond technology, ArchiGlobal leads with sustainability as a core design principle. Whether it is a high-rise residence, mixed-use developments, or civic master plans, their projects prioritize energy efficiency, environmental stewardship, and long-term community impact.
Their own Cebu office embodies this ethos: a thoughtfully converted warehouse that now serves as a vibrant creative studio. Reusing materials and encouraging collaboration, the space mirrors
ArchiGlobal’s culture of innovation and resourcefulness.
For Cebu’s business community, ArchiGlobal offers beyond architectural services; they provide a
strategic partnership that helps projects succeed from concept to completion.
As Cebu continues to grow as a regional economic hub, the demand for thoughtful, innovative architecture is stronger than ever. ArchiGlobal’s deep understanding of local needs, combined with a global outlook, uniquely positions them to contribute to Cebu’s sustainable growth.
“Our designs create lasting value for businesses, communities, and the people who live and work within them,” Torres affirms.
ArchiGlobal’s vision extends beyond Cebu and even the Philippines. As the firm embraces new global
opportunities, it remains committed to celebrating Filipino creativity and ingenuity on the world stage.
For Cebu’s investors, developers, and stakeholders seeking architectural partners who blend innovation, sustainability, and cultural resonance, ArchiGlobal stands ready to lead.

Soulscape 2025 A Heartfelt Escape for Moms and Women in Cebu
Thursday, August 14, 2025
Hello, beautiful moms and inspiring women!
If you’ve been longing for a moment to just breathe, slow down, and pour back into yourself, I have something special to share. This October 17–19, 2025, the WSL Movement is bringing to Cebu an experience like no other—Soulscape 2025—happening at the breathtaking Soul Sierra in Babag, Cebu City.
Derived from the words “soul” and “escape”, Soulscape is exactly that—a soulful getaway to help you release burdens, embrace self-acceptance, and reconnect with optimism. It’s three days of pure nourishment for your heart, mind, and body.
A Movement for Healing and Creativity
At the heart of Soulscape is a powerful fusion of mindfulness, creativity, and advocacy. This vision came to life during an August 13 media press conference, with the event spearheaded by:
Charlita Maitland Smith – Executive Producer & Soul Sierra owner
Anne Angus – Line Producer, psychiatric nurse, and mental health advocate
Joselo Cimafranca – WSL Movement Founder & Co-Producer
Mae Anne Yee – Event Organizer
They’re creating a space where you can truly feel safe, inspired, and seen.
What to Expect
Over the three days, you can join:
Live art workshops that let your creativity flow
Guided meditation and yoga sessions to calm the mind and energize the body
Nature walks to reconnect with the earth
Massage therapy for deep relaxation
Creative expression activities to spark joy and release emotions
And on the final day, the highly anticipated premiere of the film When Sadness Lingers will take center stage.
When Sadness Lingers – A Film with a Message
Filmed entirely in Cebu and starring award-winning actors Nonie Buencamino and Sylvia Sanchez, When Sadness Lingers tells a moving story about a family navigating the hidden struggles of mental health, love, and healing.
“This story will delve into the complexities of mental health—raising awareness and, we hope, helping people discover healthier ways to cope,” said Angus, whose years as a psychiatric nurse have shaped her advocacy. “Mental health remains a difficult topic, one many choose to avoid. It’s time to end the stigma—and we’re doing it through the transformative power of film.”
Why This is Perfect for Us Moms
We carry so much—physically, emotionally, and mentally. Soulscape offers a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life and simply be. Surrounded by nature, supported by community, and inspired by art, it’s the kind of experience that can refill your soul’s cup.
And let me tell you, Soul Sierra is magical. Nestled in the lush mountains of Cebu City, this botanical haven has gardens, a healing shala, camping spaces, and views that will make you forget your phone for a while. As Charlita Maitland Smith herself said, she embraced the WSL Movement immediately, believing in the deep value of nurturing one’s well-being—and she knew Soul Sierra was the perfect place to make that vision real.
